Interested In a Board Appointment?

Write the Governor explaining why you think that you would be a good member and what you believe you could contribute to the board's work.  Attach a resume or include background information in your letter, including your complete mailing address and home and office telephone numbers.  It is helpful to indicate your first two or three choices in priority order in case you are not selected for your first preference.  In many cases, it is helpful to have recommendations sent by others on your behalf.  Be advised that by applying for any position, you acknowledge that you are participating in our administration's policy on open access to information.  All submissions for board and commission nominations become public documents and therefore are open to public inspection.

We take into account the geographic location and gender of other members on each board when filling vacancies.  Often members are reappointed for second terms and the vacancy does not occur.  If you are not selected, try again.  Direct your application or questions to:

Governor Judy Martz
Attn: Susan Ames
State Capitol
Helena, MT 59620

Phone: (406) 444-3111

We appreciate your interest in serving the citizens of Montana on a board or commission.
