(HELENA) Lt. Governor John Bohlinger today joined American Vets (AMVETS) and the Marine Corps League to help raise funds for a new program called "TV's for the Vets."

"Our veterans served this country admirably," said Lt. Governor Bohlinger. "They deserve to have the basic comforts that we all enjoy, and that includes access to news and entertainment. I would ask those who are able to help our vets to do so."

The groups hope to raise $90,000 (just $1 from every Montanan) to purchase and maintain the televisions for the VA Hospital at Fort Harrison in Helena and various VA centers across the state. Tax-deductible donations can be made out to the "VA General Post Fund 8806" and mailed to:

VA Ft. Harrison
c/o Volunteer Services
1892 Williams St.
Ft. Harrison, MT 59636
