Governor's Boards and Councils
Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer encourages Montana citizens to be part of state government through the opportunity to serve on a Montana board or council.
State law directs state government to take positive action to attain gender balance and proportional minority representation to the greatest extent possible. The Schweitzer-Bohlinger administration considers this to be one of the highest priorities. Encouraging the participation of the first Montanans, our state's Native Americans, is paramount.
