(Washington D.C.) – Lieutenant Governor John Bohlinger testified before the U.S House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure’s Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials today regarding the benefits of intercity passenger rail, specifically long-distance intercity service such as Amtrak’s Empire Builder. His testimony also stressed the need for a “national passenger rail policy that includes long-distance routes with a multi-year federal funding package that supports it.”
