WHEREAS, the wildland fires have created a need to control ingress and egress to and from forest lands as proclaimed through Executive Order No. 19-00; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for clarification of state water closures in effect for the Montana counties of Missoula, Mineral, Ravalli, Powell, Granite, Butte-Silver Bow, Anaconda-Deer Lodge, Sanders, and that portion of Lewis & Clark located to the west of the Continental Divide; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, MARC RACICOT, Governor of the State of Montana, pursuant to authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Montana, do hereby amend the seventh paragraph on restrictions that apply in areas of dangerous fire hazard, to include the following language: "The state waters of the Upper Clark Fork River Basin above the confluence of the Flathead and Clark Fork Rivers have been closed to all public recreation, including fishing."
This Order is effective immediately.
