Executive Order

Executive Order Continuing The Peace Officers Standards And Training Advisory Council

    I, MARC RACICOT, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Governor by the Constitution and laws of the State of Montana, and specifically pursuant to Section 2-15-122, MCA, do hereby continue the existing Peace Officers Standards and Training Advisory Council within the Board of Crime Control.

I. PURPOSE

    The Council shall establish priorities, aid in planning programs, and make recommendations regarding the improvement of law enforcement in the State of Montana.

II. COMPOSITION

  1. The Peace Officers Standards and Training Advisory Council shall be composed of 17 members. The names and addresses of members who shall serve at the pleasure of the Governor are submitted by separate letter to the Attorney General and the Secretary of State.

III. DURATION

    The Council shall exist for a period of two years from the effective date of this Order unless otherwise ordered by subsequent Executive Order. This Order is effective immediately.
