Remarks by Gov. MARC RACICOT at Dedication of the Montana Law Enforcement Memorial, Helena, Aug. 28, 1997

Our society rightly honors many people in its daily doings. We especially honor those who protect our society from threats both foreign and just down the street. We are through this unique Montana Law Enforcement Memorial honoring those women and men who made the supreme sacrifice while protecting our people.

I hope every Montanan pauses for a moment now and then--I know I will--and especially when they pass by this new memorial, to think for a moment about those no longer among us because they cared so much for us.

Thank you. And may God bless us--and forever give peace to those honored here.
