(HELENA)---Governor Marc Racicot announced today he has appointed Mark J. Semmens of Great Falls to the Montana Board of Regents. He replaces Pat Davison of Billings, whose seven-year term ended in February. Semmens is the Managing Director of D.A. Davidson's Corporate Finance Department in Great Falls.
"Mark is an extraordinarily insightful and energetic individual who will provide strong leadership and management skills to the Montana University System," Governor Racicot commented.
Semmens, 40, was raised in Helena and is a graduate of Carroll College. He holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in business administration and finance and has been an officer of D.A. Davidson and Co. for 15 years. Semmens is involved in various securities industry committees and is active in several church and community organizations. He and his wife, Rosemary, have four children.
His term of appointment will be seven years.
